Review of Youth Gathering, London

I hope this finds you well.

I'm writing to update those who requested, as well as, those potentially interested in what took place during the Youth Gathering at Rudolf Steiner House on February 6.

Again, I'd like to express thanks to the RSH (in particular, Philip Martyn and Sue Peat) alongside New View Magazine (Tom Raines) for their kindest support. Further thanks needs be given to the facilitation by Acro Yoga's Jesse Saunders for his challenging but seriously fun movement exercises.  

It seems to me inappropriate to lay down a step by step account of the day, or to provide minutes, as it wasn't that sort of meeting. What I can say now though, given the parting words and mood of those who participated, good vibrations helped warm much of an otherwise typically cold English day.

The overarching focus of the day was guided by a question: How can we ground our ideals? In broad brush strokes, we started with ideas (thinking), then moved into ideals (feeling), and drew to a close with initiatives (willing).

By the end of the day it was not only clear that all present were keen to meet for a youth gathering sometime in Septemeber (exact date yet to be confirmed), it was also really exciting for me to hear that Naomi and Daniel were willing to take the initiative of setting up a more frequent and regular youth meeting. Anyway I can help, they are guaranteed my support!

The next youth gathering at Rudolf Steiner House will be on a Sunday, exact date yet to be decided - either the 7th, 14th, or 21st March. If you would like to come then please contact Naomi (lovelyleoladyhotmail.couk) so she can fix a date that works for everyone, well at least as many as possible.
