Documentary Project

An update from A People for Perlas on the Documentary project about Nicanor Perlas and Social Threefolding.

 

 

Hello everyone,

We're still stuck in this strange hiatus, waiting to hear back from COMELEC to find out if New Politics will have a chance in the Philippines this year. But the Idea of New Politics that Nicky represents is not confined to the Philippines.

 

His vision of a healthy, integrated, sustainable society is an ideal that we all carry in our own corners of the world. This vision is what's so powerful. It's embodied in an amazing way in his political platform, where a truly remarkable picture begins to emerge of how a whole nation can come together and move towards it's highest future potential.

I'm happy to say our documentary project is back on track. It was put on hold when Nicanor was disqualified, but we now realize it doesn't matter... that what is happening is too important not too share. Our immediate goal is to create two or three simple and inspiring 5-10 minute clips that convey something essential about Nicky and his profound understanding of ecology, spiritual development, and the threefold nature of society.

 

We'll hopefully be able to produce and upload these videos shortly after our trip so they should have an immediate effect on the campaign. We'll also just collect as much footage as possible in order to create a longer documentary further down the road.

We need your help with this project. A number of people have enthusiastically come forward, and so far we've raised $2200 (only $400 is shown on the ChipIn because the rest of it has been donated via check).
